Horasis held its fourth Annual Meeting in Zurich, 22-23 January, 2013. The Horasis Annual Meeting is the foremost annual gathering of business leaders from emerging and developed markets. Dr. Vachara, a co-Chair of the meeting also chaired a session on resource scarcity and led the panel in a discussion on how the developing world needs to find new models to ensure sustainable development.

Dr. Vachara, F.W. de Klerk, and Frank-Jurgen Richter 

A special panel with F.W. de Klerk, Former President of South Africa focused on the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate's unique contribution to world history in initiating, leading and then handing on power to Nelson Mandela in what could be termed Africa's first Velvet Revolution.

Dr. Vachara, Chairman Emeritus of the Pacific Basin Economic Council, which is a partner organization to Horasis, also organized a private members' dinner in Zurich along with PBEC Chairman Wilfred Wong and Horasis Chairman Frank-Jurgen Richter.
